Solar Service Guys and Omnidian are seeking an experienced and hands on Field Quality Manager to support the day-to-day leadership, quality, safety, and performance of our field workforce across Australia.
This is a practical leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being visible in operations, setting clear expectations, supporting technicians to perform at their best, and driving consistent standards across field delivery.
You will play a key role in improving field capability, reinforcing quality and safety standards, supporting performance, and helping ensure work is delivered professionally, safely, and efficiently.
This role would suit an experienced Electrical Supervisor, Leading Hand, Field Service Supervisor, or operational field leader looking to step into a broader leadership role within a growing renewable energy business.
Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesField Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership and support to field employees and contractors
Reinforce clear standards, accountability, and professional behaviours
Support technicians through coaching, guidance, and practical problem solving
Identify and address performance, quality, or operational concerns early
Work closely with operational support teams to improve service delivery outcomes
Assist in improving field processes, communication, and operational consistency
Quality, Safety & Compliance
Conduct field quality and safety audits
Ensure work is completed in line with company procedures and safety requirements
Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions where required
Maintain visibility of field quality, workmanship, and productivity outcomes
Escalate safety, compliance, or operational risks promptly
Capability & Development
Support onboarding and induction of new field team members and contractors
Assist with training coordination and competency development
Identify skill gaps and development opportunities across the workforce
Promote continuous improvement and consistent work standards
Electrical trade qualification or strong experience leading technical field teams
Experience supervising field-based employees or contractors
Strong leadership skills with the ability to set expectations and hold teams accountable
Experience monitoring work quality, safety, and operational standards
Practical problem-solving ability and sound judgement
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Solar, electrical, or renewable energy industry experience highly regarded
