Electrical Quality Control Inspector Job Description The Electrical Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing testing on electrical products using various test equipment and managing test records. The role involves conducting customer witness testing and checkout, verifying electrical designs against the as-built product, and providing electrical troubleshooting support in the manufacturing shop and to customers. Additionally, the inspector maintains testing equipment and calibrations, interfaces with project managers, clients, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and creates and maintains procedures and processes. Responsibilities Conduct testing on electrical products using various test equipment. Manage test records and create related documentation such as test reports and ITPs. Perform customer witness testing and checkout. Verify electrical designs with the as-built product. Provide electrical troubleshooting of equipment in the manufacturing shop and customer support. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment. Interface with project managers, clients, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies. Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Maintain and create procedures and processes. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, sockets, side cutters, wiring tools, and multimeters regularly. Test products including switchgear, circuit breakers (LV/MV), relays, transformers, panel boards, cables, and battery systems. Essential Skills Proficiency in quality control, electrical wiring, inspection, and troubleshooting. Familiarity with circuit boards, electronics, schematics, and electronic assembly. Ability to use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electrical testing equipment. Understanding of blueprints and the use of calipers. Knowledge of switchgear, relay testing, and cable technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, three-phase power, protection relays, CTs, PTs, and metering circuits. Why Work Here?
