Quality Technician Job Description This 1st shift Quality Technician role focuses on ensuring high-quality production in a clean, safety-driven environment You will perform precision measurements, verify weld quality, and confirm that all parts meet strict quality standards before they move further in the process Job Responsibilities Follow all established safety requirements and procedures at all times while on the production floor and in the cleanroom Use digital calipers and micrometers to perform precise measurements on parts and verify that they meet specified tolerances Inspect parts thoroughly to ensure they are 100% defect free before allowing them to continue to the next step in the process Conduct visual quality inspections of welds coming off the robot line, identifying and reporting any defects or irregularities Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the cleanroom area, supporting both quality and safety standards Document quality checks and inspection results accurately as required by internal procedures Collaborate with team members and leadership to address quality concerns and support continuous improvement efforts Adhere to all facility rules, including restrictions on personal devices on the production floor Essential Skills Proficiency in reading and using digital micrometers and digital calipers for precision measurements Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects in parts and welds Ability to follow detailed safety and quality procedures consistently Comfort working in a cleanroom environment with strict cleanliness and safety requirements Basic understanding of weld quality and visual inspection techniques Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Troy, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
