Job Summary:
As a Quality Technician at Transcendia, you will be the frontline champion for product excellence, regulatory compliance, and manufacturing reliability. This hybrid role balances precise, data-driven quality control (QC) testing within our laboratory with active, real-time process auditing across the manufacturing floor. You will partner closely with production teams to identify deviations early, troubleshoot material variations, and ensure that every roll of engineered film or custom material meets our strict quality standards and customer specifications.
Job Duties:
· Laboratory Testing & Analysis
o Perform standardized physical and analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods (e.g., tensile strength, gauge/thickness verification, tear resistance, and optical clarity).
o Accurately document test results within our quality tracking system.
o Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory testing equipment to ensure continuous accuracy and uptime.
o Generate CoA as needed for customers.
o Print Material Identification tags and place tags on incoming materials.
o Contact Suppliers to resolve COA issues.
o Assist the quality team in the review and investigation of customer complaints and returned materials.
· Manufacturing & Process Auditing
o Conduct routine line audits and floor inspections to verify that manufacturing processes strictly adhere to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
o Conduct routine Quality Control checks and assist with questions and problems related to product acceptance criteria.
o Identify, tag, and segregate non-conforming materials; initiate Hold procedures to isolate defective products and prevent escape to customers.
o Collaborate directly with machine operators and production supervisors to assess quality defects and
o Support internal audits.

Job Qualifications:
· High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required; Associates Degree in Applied Science preferred and two years of related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Must have organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Ability to maintain confidentiality, exceptional attention to detail and good follow-up skills
· Must possess good problem-solving skills and basic math skills
· Ability to interact in a professional manner with employees and vendors
· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Willingness to work as team member or independently
