Compliance Analyst Position Summary The Compliance Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's compliance program by monitoring regulatory requirements, tax compliance obligations, and contract compliance standards while ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable laws. This role works cross-functionally with departments including accounting, finance, legal, procurement, operations, and human resources to identify risks, maintain compliance standards, and support process improvement initiatives. Essential Responsibilities Monitor and interpret federal, state, and industry regulations applicable to the organization Support tax compliance activities including sales and use tax tracking, business license renewals, tax documentation, and coordination with internal accounting teams or external advisors Review contracts, vendor agreements, and customer agreements to ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations Track key contract terms, renewal dates, reporting requirements, and compliance deliverables Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments Investigate potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions Maintain accurate documentation, compliance records, and audit support files Prepare reports and presentations related to compliance findings, tax reporting, and contract tracking metrics Collaborate with internal departments to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements Assist with internal and external audit requests Track regulatory changes and communicate updates to leadership and impacted teams Support employee compliance training and awareness initiatives Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational efficiencies Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive information Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Legal Studies, or related field preferred 2+ years of experience in compliance, contract administration, tax support, audit, finance, or related field preferred Understanding of regulatory compliance, contract administration, and internal controls Familiarity with tax documentation and reporting processes preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills Experience in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, government contracting, or other regulated industries Familiarity with compliance monitoring tools and contract management systems Experience supporting audits or regulatory examinations Knowledge of vendor compliance requirements and risk assessment methodologies Relevant certifications such as CRCM, CAMS, CCEP, or paralegal/compliance certifications are a plus Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Collaborative and supportive team environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
