Education / Experience:
Bachelor's in Engineering, or related disciplineOne year work experience or a Master's Degree in lieu of experiencePrevious experience in connector / cable assembly industry a plusMedical industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities as Quality Manager
Oversee inspection activities and personnel performing themOversee Manufacturing Quality Engineers and tasks they are performingInterpret blueprint drawings, evaluate tolerancesLead the continuous improvement activities in all areas of manufacturingPlay a key role in new product transfer into manufacturing from the qualitysideOversee corrective and preventive action investigationsDevelop quality assurance plans or process control procedures that willensure that production of finished products meets quality specifications andstandardsDevelop, implement and audit control plans, standards and acceptancecriteria, and procedures / work instructionsEstablish and participate in supplier qualification / development activitiesto ensure that products meet design and manufacturing requirements as part ofthe Supplier Quality program.Determine process capabilities and identify improvement opportunities.Develop and implement Poka-Yoke (error proofing) methodology throughout thefacility. Use Six Sigma methodology and tools to solve complex problems. Applythe lean manufacturing tools as described in the Lean System.Lead / support cross-functional teams in the execution and reporting ofquality improvement projects with a focus on overall process improvements, scrapreduction and supplier quality improvement.Perform product / process analysis for cost reductions, quality / efficiencyimprovementsEvaluate process data output to determine process control limits. Utilizetools such as PFMEA, 6 sigma, Lean, and equivalent statistical techniquesDevise sampling procedures and design / develop forms and instructions forrecording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability dataInterface with suppliers and customers to solve quality problems and improverelationshipsPerform duties as assigned
