Quality Inspector $16-$17/hr with Bonuses

Location: Saint Marys, PA

Join a trusted secondary machine shop that has been a key machining partner in Saint Marys since 1995. The team operates in a 17,500 sq. ft. facility equipped for highvolume production using CNC lathes and machining centers. The company specializes in grinding, drilling, tapping, milling, and slotting and is known for precision, reliability, and craftsmanship.

Position Overview

The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all machined parts meet customer specifications and internal quality standards. You'll work handson with measurement tools, inspect finished products, and help maintain the accuracy and consistency the shop is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints to determine product requirements

Inspect finished parts for accuracy, defects, and compliance

Use tape measures, micrometers, and calipers for precise measurements

Perform basic preventative maintenance on inspection equipment

Document inspection results through written and digital data entry

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Follow all safety procedures in a busy machining environment

Essential Skills

Proficiency with micrometers , calipers, and tape measures

Strong mechanical aptitude

Ability to perform visual inspections and quality checks

High attention to detail in a manufacturing setting

Experience with quality control or assurance processes

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience using micrometers

Previous manufacturing or production experience

Comfort working in a dusty, loud, nonclimatecontrolled environment

Work Environment

This is a handson role in a dusty, nonclimatecontrolled manufacturing facility . Expect colder temperatures in winter and warmer conditions in summer. The company provides fans, heaters, and water to improve comfort. The machining department can be loud, and safety protocols are strictly followed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Marys, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $15.00/hr.
