This role focuses on inspecting materials, components, and finished goods, closely monitoring production activities, and maintaining meticulous documentation. The QC Technician plays a key part in supporting compliance with the Quality Management System and all relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities: Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with all specifications and standards. Conduct precise testing using established procedures and protocols. Operate and maintain measurement tools and inspection equipment, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Document inspection results accurately, maintaining records in alignment with quality procedures. Identify and report non-conforming products; support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, ensuring proper containment and disposition of materials. Collaborate closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and assist with ongoing process improvements. Participate in internal audits and support compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and customer requirements. Assist Quality Engineers in managing internal and external Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs). Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment at all times. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in quality or manufacturing is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality inspection roles, ideally within building products or related industries. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding high product quality standards. Effective communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented approach. Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems). Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move about the manufacturing facility for extended periods. Capable of lifting, carrying, and handling materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Demonstrate precision and accuracy during detailed visual inspections. Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions as required. Must be able to wear essential personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
