Job Description: Daily review and analysis of process control records to ensure that internal compliance measures and customer requirements are being met. Support operations with respect to quality such as confirming nonconforming material is properly labeled, identified and segregated, performing product audits, and performing gage calibrations and gage repeatability studies. Ongoing communications with QA Manager and facilitators on quality issues. Review and approval of raw material supplier certifications Process and maintain accurate records for heldware, supplier and mill claims, and gages in relevant databases. Assist with investigation of customer complaints and supplier quality issues. Perform internal audits. Perform functional testing of closures. Support camera vision system throughout the plant. Ability to be trained on operation and adjustment of camera vision system to meet quality specifications. Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Ability to communicate verbally with plant personnel. A working knowledge of the processes involved in manufacturing closures. Keyboarding and computer experience. Ability to be observant and analytical, strong focus and attention to detail, thoroughness and dealing with complexity. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and maybe be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee generally works in an office and/or plant environment. The employee may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures The employee may be exposed to loud machinery. Employee will be required to work a 12 hour rotating swing shift Qualifications High school diploma or GED. 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Must have a desire to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
