The Quality Technician II is responsible for coordinating, assigning, and executing inspections and FAI activities. Also responsible for providing guidance to less experienced employees. Provides technical system support with respect to inspection applications. Act as Subject Matter Expert regarding measurement techniques/-methodologies at the site. Responsible for the execution of the Product Release Monitoring and Employee Certification program for Jabil.
What will you do?
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), FIR, test reports, incoming, in-process and final inspections.
Support of New Product Introduction and Design Transfers at the site.
Support and conduct Gage R&R (measurement capabilities assessments).
Performs complex tests and analysis to assure that products comply with established specifications.
Carries out calculations and prepares documentation that shows the results of tests performed.
Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for measurement techniques/-methodologies.
Formulates recommendations for corrective action for management.
Prepares remedial recommendations.
Prepares statistical reports on quality control results for management.
Implements revisions, corrections and changes to test equipment, procedures and methods.
Issues and executes NCR within the FAI / inspection activities.
Acts as owner of actions assigned from quality systems (NCR, CAPA, Audit Observations).
Supports certified operator program by performing roving audits.
Drives document changes and inspection sheet updates through the change control process.
Assist Quality Engineering by evaluating product placed in quarantine.
How will you get here?
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a technical field preferred. or bachelors .
Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Experience with various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators).
2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing quality assurance or quality control role.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
