SHIFT/SCHEDULE:
This role operates on the 1st shift, with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM.
ONBOARDING SCHEDULE:
To ensure a successful start and seamless integration into the team, this role includes a structured 4-5-day onboarding program, typically scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All new employees are expected to complete this onboarding during their first week.
POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Lead Quality Assurance Technician, you'll guide QA activities on the production floor to ensure our products meet the highest standards for safety, consistency, and compliance. You'll support inspections, documentation, and team training while helping resolve issues in real time. Your leadership and attention to detail help us deliver the products people love - with confidence and care.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate QA technician activities and lead the department when needed
Perform in-process testing, AQL inspections, and batch record reviews
Submit samples for analytical and microbiological testing
Approve pre-startup checks and release work orders
Conduct daily audits and floor walks to ensure compliance
Support training and provide guidance on GMPs, SOPs, and documentation practices
Communicate with teams to resolve errors and maintain standards
Follow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies
Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
3-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout your shift
Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens
Flexible to work overtime based on business needs
SKILLS:
Comfortable using computers, tablets, and MS Office programs
Experience with systems like SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, or Captiva preferred
Strong attention to detail and organization
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Able to adapt to change and look for ways to improve processes
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $27.64. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
