Shift: Monday through Friday 6am to 2:30pm

Position Purpose

Under the guidance of the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineering Supervisor, and Quality Manager for Quality Control, the FAI Coordinator is a critical role within Vaupell's Quality Assurance organization. To be fully successful in this role, you ll have a solid understanding and prior work knowledge in the basic Quality Control AS9100 Standard as well as First Article Inspection AS9102 Standard, Conducting Root Cause Corrective and Preventive Actions and Counterfeit Parts Avoidance

Essential Duties and responsibilities

Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO/AS9100 and AS9102 Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.

Maintains the Document Control database and hard files, ensuring that all necessary information is present and correct.

Maintains Document Control's electronic and physical libraries, ensuring that all files are kept current and history is properly tracked.

Coordination and review of FAI documentation for completeness.

Coordination of priorities in FAI inspection

Transitions and releases information in an organized and efficient manner.

Ensures that all files, soft and hard, are readily available to all appropriate departments/team members at all times.

Follows up with work cell if inconsistencies occur within documentation/files.

Provides support in the field of document control related questions and problems.

Investigates questions and issues independently and finds logical resolutions

Responsible for following all established Vaupell policies, standard operating procedures and safety practices.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

High school diploma/GED

Experience with basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, and microscope) Optical Gauging Product Optical Machine and CMM.

Able to read and interpret blueprints and general understanding of GD&T

Basic computer skills Basic understanding of statistical methods in Quality Assurance.

Good communication and organizational skills

Proficiency in technical communication (written and verbal)

Proficiency in Office suite

MUST be well versed in performing FAI from creation to completion

AS9102 proficiency is required

DISCUS and Net-Inspect Software experience is preferred, but not required

Recent Experience must be related to Aerospace

Ability to read, speak, understand and follow instructions in English.

Must be able to wear and properly use the required personal protective equipment.

Candidates must be a US Person (i.e., US Citizen or Permanent Resident) to ensure Vaupell's compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations)

Environmental Condition

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
