Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, automation, and quality assurance methodologies. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively within a Scrum team and contribute to the overall quality of our software products.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Technical BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
  • Experience with automation testing using tools like Selenium and TOSCA
  • Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changes
  • Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with Autosys scheduling of jobs
  • Familiarity with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)
  • Hands-on agile experience
  • Ability to write and execute Unix commands
  • Proven experience with SQL, Database, and ETL technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work with big teams
  • Strong problem identification and solving skills
  • Prior work experience in the Banking domain
  • Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
  • Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
  • Automate test cases in UI and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca
  • Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
  • Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and record test results
  • Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration), and report errors and failures
  • Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
  • Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
  • Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation
  • Ensure that all standards and processes are implemented within projects
