Introduction

As a Quality Engineer lead, the candidate brings a testing mindset to the team and is responsible for ensuring all testing functions support the delivery of complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. The role ensures the testing strategy and processes are followed with frequent lessons learned feedback for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)
  • 5 Years QA testing experience
  • Team lead experience working with multiple teams on a complex application (client/server)
  • Functional testing and database testing experience
  • Experience with test automation tool set – (mainly RAFTor Selenium or experience with JAVA language)
  • Strong SQL scripting / ETL testing skills
  • Agile tools (JIRA, ALM/OCTANEst, etc.)
  • Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
  • Contributes to test planning, as part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (Nice-to-have skills but are not required)
  • Familiarity and experience working with various testing levels such as unit testing, integration testing, functional, regression and end to end system testing
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Familiar with ADA testing requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communicates effectively, builds relationships, influences others
Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)
  • Enforce test and automation strategies, the use and adherence of test frameworks, and best practices for test data generation, defect management and reporting
  • Lead test planning for complex features that span across the platform or multiple teams
  • Optimize test suites employing techniques such as risk-based testing
  • Monitor test execution and assist with resolving, communicating, or escalating any issues
  • Contribute to test data management approach, processes, and tools
  • Review the creation of test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments
  • Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them as necessary
  • Ensure all QE best practices are utilized and adhered to resulting in the highest quality deliverable possible
