Transceiver Test Engineer

Summary The Transceiver Test Engineer is responsible for testing debugging and supporting the development of high speed optical transceivers 800G to 16Tbps This role supports AOIs optoelectronics manufacturing operations teams by identifying and analyzing root causes of performance issues to ensure product quality reliability and compliance with high speed communication standards Job Duties Perform design verification and testing of high speed optical transceivers 800G to 16Tbps to ensure performance and reliabilityInstall and maintain optical transceiver testing equipment including PPGED DCA CDR etcSet up and conduct optical transceiver communication link tests in compliance with MSAIEEE standardsDebug and troubleshoot link failure and work with cross functional teams to figure out root causesDevelop and revise transceiver automatic testing software using LabViewPython for data collection and test efficiencyDocument reports for various optical transceiver qualification testsQualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical or Optical engineering with 2 years of experience or Masters degree with 1 year of experienceMust be bilingual in Chinese MandarinFamiliarity with Linux Python and LabVIEW are preferred3 years of experience working in an engineering laboratory environmentExperience with optical transceiver communication link testLocation This position will be on site based in Sugar Land Texas WHY AOI In addition to competitive salary AOI offers Flexible and competitive health medical dental vision plans offer the employee with the right options to meet individual and family needsEmployer matching on 401k deferralsGenerous PTO policy with unused PTO payout at end of the yearRelocation package available within USImmigration sponsorships Must be currently authorized to work in the US
