A Quality Assurance (QA) Director is a high-level executive who oversees the quality control operations within a company. They are responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, establishing standards and guidelines, and ensuring that all products and services meet the required quality benchmarks. Certifications such as Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), and Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) are highly desirable. Furthermore, they should have a solid understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards, and proficiency in using Quality Management Systems (QMS) and databases.
