Product Safety Engineer Jobs in Michigan

A Product Safety Engineer in the quality control industry is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing procedures to eliminate potential health and safety risks associated with a product's use. Proficiency in safety simulation software and tools, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, are also necessary. A degree in engineering is typically required, along with certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Product Safety Manager (CPSM), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). Prior to becoming a Product Safety Engineer, a person may have roles such as a Safety Coordinator, Quality Control Inspector, or Product Development Engineer.
