Spacestation manufactures California's favorite cannabis-infused beverages. Our business is growing and we are seeking a QA/QC Technician to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate should have previous experience and be comfortable wearing different hats in a constantly changing and evolving industry. ** Shift is 2:30pm - 11pm** (First few weeks of training will be 6:30am-3pm) KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for testing, inspection of products and processes at various points in the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to company quality & food safety standards Establishing and executing the disposition of products that do not meet company quality standards Ensure that all work activities of the production line(s) are performed with attention to the highest standards of quality and safety and in compliance with all Company Programs, Policies, and Procedures with a focus on continuous process improvement WHAT YOU'VE DONE: (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE) High school graduate Some college or equivalent work experience Manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred) Food Handling (Preferred) Metrc Experience (Preferred) ERP Experience (Preferred) Proficient computer skills Strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions. Strong ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, and record, balance and check results for accuracy. Good written and verbal communication skills Professional customer service skills Strong work ethic, able to work independently as well as working in a team Ability to understand and speak basic English (bilingual Spanish is a plus) WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES) Follow good laboratory practices and established standard operating procedures Recognize and stop Out-of-Calibration conditions and notify manager/supervisor Inspect production lines' work to ensure food safety and quality Duties may include but are not limited to: using various tools and instruments to determine pH levels, C02 and air content, conducting double seam evaluations, and calculating weight specifications Communicate with Production to verify that all quality requirements are being met, including but not limited to processing methods, and finished product specifications Document and record all quality data Evaluate finished products for quality and acceptability. Perform all necessary analysis as required, and according to the product specification Log all analysis test results, maintains analysis records and documents necessary for documentation compliance Evaluate product samples through taste, odor, color and appearance to verify samples are within specifications Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management Ensure regular and punctual attendance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity Able and patient to do repetitive tasks Ability to learn and use various machines and hand tools Lifting, bending, reaching Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
