Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Sample raw materials, water and packaging for analytical and microbial testing in accordance with established procedures using aseptic technique.
  • Collect environmental monitoring samples using proper techniques and according to applicable procedures.
  • Organize and review incoming raw material samples and associated paperwork.
  • Perform simple analytical tests under the supervision of a QC Analyst.
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping and maintain general order in the lab.
  • Maintain inventory of general laboratory supplies and reagents and order/receive stock as required.
  • Maintain the calibration program and perform instrument calibrations as needed.
  • Dispose of completed samples and support chemical waste removal from the lab.
  • Prepare/send samples requiring 3rd party testing.
  • Receive and review results of 3rd party testing and enter results into Colorcon's LIMS.
  • Report any OOS results to the QC Manager in a timely manner.
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of Colorcon LIMS and Oracle database applications to maintain accuracy of records.
  • Maintain an awareness of cGMP and ensure compliance with those regulations as they relate to their activities.
  • Observe applicable quality procedures and SOPs.
  • Assist with other duties within the Quality Control Department as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a quality control lab or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of USP and FDA regulations.
  • Knowledge of cGMP.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required.
