Job Title: Quality Manager
Location: Canal Winchester, OH
Job Summary:
Supervise and manage quality assurance issues involved in mass production.
Essential Functions:
Ensure that work instructions are presented in a language that is understood by personnel performing said duties. The work instructions are accessible, legible, and include rules for operational safety.
Implement and maintain an effective Quality System in accordance with the ISO/IATF standards.
Organize, implement, and verify process audits.
Supervise direct and indirect report personnel.
Control and oversee Quality and Environmental documentation.
Record and analyze internal Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
Ensure updated and proper quality documentation is distributed appropriately.
Provide guidance and reference materials for all quality issues through review and hands-on
involvement in the corrective action process.
Follow all safety guidelines and expectations.
Assist in physical inventory as requested.
Work closely with (internal) production to assure quality of product
Introduce and improve systems and technologies for Internal Production
Help implement quality training
Serve customer's needs relating to internally produced products, including such areas as correspondence, quality issues, policy matters and/or any other concerns which may arise during the course of business
Complete appropriate documentation as required
Assist in establishing CPK, and SPC monitoring
Make calculations employing mathematical formulas
Other management assigned tasks as requested.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred or 3 to 5 years of experience in a Quality area of a
manufacturing environment
Skills/Experience/Requirements:
5+ years' experience in Quality and 2 years of previous management experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Major OEM or automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
Must be able to work overtime as required with notification
Automotive supplier and Injection Molding experience
ISO and QS experience
Must be very analytical with a high degree of concentration to interpret blue prints, reports,
analytical data
Must be able to communicate effectively with Customers, Vendors and other team members
Problem-solving and decision-making ability to determine probable cause, resolution and
correction action plans
Must cooperate effectively externally and internally to fulfill essential functions
Must be a licensed driver.
May occasionally be required to travel offsite, sometimes over night
Behave in a positive manner that enhances the success of the company
Physical/Ergonomic Requirements:
Able to lift boxes up to 20 pounds
Able to work sitting or standing for extended periods of time
