QC Lab Tech
Job Description

The QC Lab Tech will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to the maintenance and operation of the laboratory. This includes maintaining lab equipment, accepting and preparing incoming samples, and ensuring the lab is kept in optimal condition. The role requires a strong background in chemistry and a commitment to quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain laboratory equipment and perform necessary calibrations.
  • Accept and prepare incoming samples as required.
  • Ensure the lab is kept clean and organized.
  • Conduct data analysis and report findings.
  • Utilize techniques such as HPLC, GC, GCMS, ICP, UV-Vis, and titration in a quality control capacity.
Essential Skills
  • Degree in Chemistry or related field.
  • Proficiency in HPLC and other analytical chemistry techniques.
  • Experience with quality control in a pharmaceutical setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of GMP standards.
  • Experience with wet chemistry, UV-Vis, and titration.
Work Environment

The position is based in a large laboratory built in 2016, located in Central Islip. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5 pm, with optional overtime available on weekends. The role is situated in a cGMP laboratory or manufacturing environment where personal protective equipment is mandatory. This may include lab coats, safety glasses, and respiratory protection. The job involves working with solvents, powders, and other materials typically found in pharmaceutical labs or manufacturing facilities. The company is undergoing significant expansion in North America, and top-tier candidates have the opportunity to advance to Research & Development roles after 2-4 years of experience in Quality Control.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $49920.00/yr.

benefits start day 1 and they are eligible for 2 weeks vacation, 56 hours sick and wellness add 2 days mental health days
