H2C is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer, Lead Auditor, to support the H2C Quality Assurance group. Under minimal supervision, the Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for providing quality assurance engineering assessment services in support of Integrated Tank Disposition Contract (ITDC) activities. This role involves ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality standards, processes, and procedures. As well as, collaborating with other quality assurance and business organizations to develop solutions that meet their needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Plan, schedule, and participate/lead QA program audits, surveillances and assessments in support of assessment and corrective action programs.
* Write audit plans, checklists, action requests, audit reports, and follow-up reports.
* Assist with the performance of effective Management/ Independent assessments. Implementation of appropriate management requested bias based surveillance and audit activities to investigate improvement opportunities or negative activities/trends related to ongoing or past project or vendor performance.
* Conducts investigations of considerable complexity and reviews complex projects, processes and evaluates results.
* Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Complete assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity.
* Make frequent decisions using principles and professional independent judgment.
* Possesses and applies comprehensive QA knowledge to the completion of significant assignments.
* Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach and organizes means to achieve solution of complex technical problems.
* Demonstrate understanding of the application of Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR) and review and approve safety basis documents.
* Verify quality standards and test procedures for design and process evaluation to attain quality economically and efficiently.
* Provide technical consultation to lower-level engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
* Perform surveillances, as applicable and as requested by Management
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Grade 20:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science or related field and 10 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Grade 21:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science or related field and 12 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is larger, and the expected level of performance is increased.

Desired Qualifications
* Specialized in particular areas of quality engineering, such as manufacture, fabrication, construction, process control, or supplier evaluation.
* Performance on at least four prior audits, within the last three years and one having been a nuclear audit
* Current holds, or has held, an NQA-1 Lead Auditor certification(s)
* Expertise in auditing NQA-1 2008/1a 2009, DOE 414.1D, and 10 CFR 830 quality programs.
* It is desirable for the candidate to have experience working at the Hanford Tank Farms, or in a similar Department of Energy (DOE) environment, or within a nuclear facility

Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, H2C takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial grade and salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made at the appropriate grade level and within the targeted hiring range posted according to these factors. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.

Hiring Range Minimum: $129,063
Hiring Range Maximum: $179,113
