Quality Control Technician Our client is seeking a Quality Control Technician to support quality initiatives in a fast-growing food manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring product safety and consistency, especially as the facility prepares to launch a new production line. Opportunities are available on both day and night shifts, depending on operational needs. This role is onsite in McMinnville, Oregon. Available Shifts: Night Shift: 5PM-5AM Day Shift: 5AM-5PM Quality Control Technician Responsibilities Perform inspections and testing at various stages of production to verify compliance with quality standards. Enforce and train team members on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Conduct allergen, gluten, and sanitation verifications to ensure food safety. Monitor and audit food contact surfaces and equipment cleanliness prior to production. Manage non-conforming materials and initiate holds or rejections as necessary. Calibrate testing instruments and ensure accuracy of equipment. Perform required line checks such as weight verification, metal detection, and lot coding. Review incoming raw and packaging materials for quality and proper documentation. Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement improvements. Accurately complete all quality records and maintain documentation per standard operating procedures. Support overall cleanliness and orderliness of workstations and surrounding areas. Communicate any deviations or quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor or Quality Director. Quality Control Technician Qualifications Experience in food manufacturing or quality control preferred. Working knowledge of HACCP; formal HACCP training is a plus. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Effective communicator with the ability to interact across teams and levels. Comfortable enforcing quality standards and escalating concerns when necessary. Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting. Willingness to work weekends and overtime as needed. Familiarity with food safety protocols and documentation practices. Salary: $23.60/hr + $2.50 night shift differential with opportunities for overtime.
