Job Title: Quality Control Analyst

Job Description

The PCR Analyst will perform routine testing support and support projects. This involves qPCR testing and ensuring timely processing of samples. The role involves in-process testing and finished product testing. The analyst will be trained on validation tasks, including equipment and lab space validation, software programming, and method drafting.

Responsibilities

• Perform qPCR testing with a 7-hour turnaround time.
• Conduct in-process and finished product testing.
• Extract RNA from tissue samples.
• Monitor contaminants and perform environmental monitoring.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Manage inventory and prepare reagents.
• Validate centrifuges, spectrophotometers, and liquid handler robots.
• Draft methods and validate lab spaces.
• Run speciation assays to identify and quantify species.

Essential Skills

• Experience with PCR, QC, and method development.
• Understanding of GMP, biology, and molecular biology.
• Proficient in pharmaceutical and environmental monitoring.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and microbiology.
• Ability to conduct assays and manage laboratory operations.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Microbiology or related discipline preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with a Thermo Cycler and qPCR software is ideal.
• Experience in a molecular pharmaceutical or GMP setting preferred.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• 2+ years of experience in a PCR/Micro Lab preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $43.26/hr.
