Job Brief
The Quality Control Analyst reviews the work of bankruptcy specialists, admin support specialists, offensive litigation and probate specialists utilizing quality control templates to ensure all policies and procedures have been followed with 100% accuracy and in a timely fashion.QC Analysts also assist in managing the processes and workflows of the departmentwhile critiquing those processes in place and make suggestions on best practices. The position identifies gaps in the processes and workflows and works with other groups and leadership to develop solutions to those deficiencies.
QC Analysts reduce risk to KeyBank pertaining to laws and regulations, regulatory body guidelines, and filing requirements pertinent to KeyBank's various lines of business. This is done by reviewing the work of bankruptcy, probate, and litigation team members before it affects the customer or the bank. Analysts are also required to have a critical eye for identifying where errors have occurred, identify trends, and work with specialists on remediation of those errors.
Essential Job Functions
Audit work performed by internal bankruptcy, admin support, and probate processors by reviewing the bank's systems and vendor's court filings and performing tests to gauge effectiveness of the processors and processes
Analyze work of other team members and identify needs for correction and remediation
Conduct testing for accuracy and timeliness of filed court documents, account and system updates, and adherence to internal procedures in meeting deadlines set by the bankruptcy and probate courts
Identify any gaps between Key's internal procedures and outside regulatory bodies and/or the bankruptcy and probate courts
Identify gaps in department processes and workflows and develop solutions to those deficiencies
When gaps are identified, work with the specific group and management to implement testing that will protect against risk to Key
Run reports and provide data on work completed by the bankruptcy and probate groups
Comply with corresponding federal, state and local regulations
Consistently demonstrate the use of the Key Values (Teamwork, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, and Leadership)
May train or assist in training new staff
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
2-year or 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
Ability to conduct data analysis and spreadsheet work
Ability to pay close attention to detail and review work with a critical eye from a quality control perspective
Preferred Skills / Qualifications
Knowledge of bankruptcy, probate, or banking processes, regulations, and/or laws
Background in quality testing or process review
Financial, statistical, or legally related degree
Experience in operations
Payment processing experience and/or data compiling expertise
Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems and applications, utilizing resources to solve routine challenges
Ability to perform moderate scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance functions
Ability to work with minimal supervision in decision making
