Quality Control Technician

1.0 Purpose
The purpose of this job description is to define standard procedures for the Quality Technician at NAHS.
2.0 Scope
This procedure applies to the Quality Technician employee at NAHS.
3.0 Responsibility
It is the responsibility of the Quality Technician or designee to implement and monitor the effectiveness of this procedure. It is the responsibility of the employee to understand this procedure
4.0 Job Duties:
4.1 Verify scale calibration 4.2 Conduct pre-operational and operational walkthroughs for start-ups and during the day. 4.3 Report all food safety issues to the corresponding Supervisor and Management. 4.4 Ensure the day-to-day Safety , Sanitation and GMPs are being followed throughout the facility. 4.5 Perform the QC functions pertaining to customer returns. Analyze return making determination if product is suitable to back into inventory. 4.6 Provide quality support and communicate with other QC assistants in the facility. 4.7 Perform quality control in process inspections and document results. 4.8 Record daily temperature and humidity checks. 4.9 Conduct packaging verification 4.10 Conduct label verification 4.11 Scale calibration verification 4.12 Accountable for Hold and Release program, including tag removal, approval sign off as necessary. 4.13 Review and assess the acceptability of company raw materials and products upon arrival to premise and as applicable. 5.0 Physical Requirements: 5.1 Lifting: Up to 40 lbs. Frequency: Occasionally Height to lift: Waist Level 5.2 Carrying: Up to 40 lbs. Frequency: Occasionally 5.3 Pushing/Pulling: 40 lbs. Frequency: Occasionally 5.4 Standing: 8 hours Frequency: Occasionally
