We are currently seeking a Quality Supervisor; the successful candidate will support the entire quality system including supplier contact, in-process, final, dock audits, SPC, QOUS, PPAP, and 8D project support, continuous improvements, and associated documentation.
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE's and TPO's as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
* Acquire layouts, testing, etc. on parts for PPAP, problem solving, etc.
* Perform and maintain Layered Process Audit system
* Participate in cross-functional teams in the pursuit of problem solving and mistake proofing quality issues
* Assist in part audits and sort operations as required
* Assist in the creation and maintenance of job boards
* Serve as main point of contact for the containment area
* Prioritize all sorting activity to assure shipments are not missed
* Assure all quality alters are being for sorted products
* Notify Quality Auditors on completed products for re-inspection
* Track inventories of all hold products to assure hold inventory accuracy
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality policy manual, employee handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
* Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas
* Supervise the hourly Quality Team (Quality Auditors, Quality Technicians, and Quality Inspectors) regarding performance, quality, discipline, time keeping, etc.
* Work closely with the Quality manager to track and report on daily quality related issues that occur on the production floor
* Complete Daily Data Card (Quality) for sorting, hold inventory, hours sorted, and dollars on hold
* Reviews material certifications for each received lot number
* Assists with supplier issues while teaming with Quality Engineers
* Issues SPSR's when required
* Participate/train new hires in weekly orientation
* Support/assist with maintaining quality documentation
* Perform and maintain calibration for QC Lab Equipment, including checking fixtures and scales
* Contain internal suspect stock
* Perform other duties as requested/assigned by Quality Manager or upper management
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of experience in quality
* 2+ years of quality supervisory experience
* Previous experience in plastic injection molding environment preferred
* Capable of performing gage R&R and capability studies
