The Opportunity
As the ORAT (Operational Readiness Acceptance Testing) Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the deployment and go-live phases of airport systems, working closely with the ORAT Manager to ensure successful operational readiness and seamless transition to live operations. This hands-on role involves performing technical activities, system validation, troubleshooting, and providing on-site technical support during ORAT. Your expertise will be key to ensuring that complex airport systems are deployed efficiently and meet operational requirements. Deployment and System Testing
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and testing of airport systems, ensuring they meet technical and operational requirements.
Perform hands-on system validation, including functional and integration testing, during the go-live phase.
Support the development and execution of test plans, scenarios, and procedures to ensure system readiness.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the deployment and testing phases.
ORAT Technical Support
Provide on-site technical support during ORAT activities, including operational trials and system evaluations.
Conduct system health checks and monitor performance during live trials and operational use.
Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve system-related issues during ORAT activities.
Document and report technical findings, issues, and resolutions to the ORAT Manager and project team.

Gain in-depth knowledge of the following systems to support deployment and operational needs:
IROPS: Irregular Operations Tracking Management
AVDGS: Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems
ITOCC: Video Wall system for the Integrated Terminal Operational Control Center
VACR: Video Wall system for the Virtual Apron Control Room
ICWP: Integrated Controller Working Position, Pre-Departure Sequencer, and Multilateration
ALCMS: Airfield Lighting Control & Monitoring System
AGL: Airfield Ground Lighting
VSS: Apron Surveillance/Video
RIDS: Ramp Information Display System
DCMS: Deicing Control Management System
GTM: Gate Turn Management
RSMS: Ramp Services Monitoring System
GAT: Gate Integration & Tracking of Turnaround Activities
Assist in the integration of systems into operational workflows and provide training to end-users as required.
Collaboration and Communication
Work closely with the ORAT Manager, project teams, vendors, and airport stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical objectives.
Provide regular updates on technical activities, challenges, and progress to the ORAT Manager.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handover of systems to operational teams.
Support the development of technical documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting procedures.
The talent we want to inspire has...
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in technical roles focused on system deployment, testing, or operational support, preferably in the aviation industry.
Hands-on experience with airport systems such as AVDGS, IROPS, ALCMS, or similar technologies is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of system integration, testing processes, and troubleshooting methodologies.
Proficiency in analyzing technical data and providing solutions to complex system issues.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments during go-live and ORAT phases.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to pass required BCI and FBI Background Checks.
Fluent English (oral and written communication skills); additional languages are a plus.
Ability to travel domestically or internationally as required - up to 50%.
