Your Role: Be a Key Player in Quality Assurance
As a Quality Control Technician, you'll be the guardian of product quality and safety. Your keen eye and attention to detail will help ensure our products meet the highest standards. You'll work closely with team members, assist in sampling and testing, and maintain meticulous records-all in a safety-focused environment.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with Sheeter Operators and other team members to uphold quality standards
- Verify and maintain precise records for incoming raw materials and finished products
- Collect, test, and analyze samples to ensure they meet specifications
- Perform visual inspections to detect defects and inconsistencies
- Conduct in-process testing including caliper, gloss, and smoothness evaluations
- Monitor trends and report any irregularities or concerns to supervisors promptly
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy
- Follow strict safety protocols, wear protective gear, and keep your workspace organized and hazard-free
- Assist with equipment troubleshooting and maintenance when needed
- Support the team during start-ups and roll changes to maintain high-quality output
What We're Looking For:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; related experience or training a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills and familiarity with computers
- Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal
- Willingness to work various shifts, including overtime when needed
- Knowledge of GMP standards and quality assurance practices is a plus
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Shift: Second shift, 4pm - 12am
- Training: Two weeks on first shift (7 am - 3 pm) to get you up to speed
- Environment: Be prepared for a lively workspace with moving machinery, loud noise, and exposure to chemicals. We prioritize safety and provide all necessary training, including hazardous waste handling.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
