Quality Control Technician

\n\n

Job Summary:

\n\n

\n\t

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding procedures to understand project requirements and specifications.\n\t
  • Repairing broken-down or damaged equipment either in the field\n\t
  • Assessing hardware and installation functionality and preparing reports about maintenance and repair work that they have performed.\n\t
  • Handling customer relations in a professional and friendly manner\n\t
  • Explaining repair issues in a way that's accessible to a nontechnical audience.\n\t
  • Conduct inspections of welds to identify defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and giving feedback through coaching and training, as needed\n\t
  • Performs detailed inspections of raw materials, final products, and confirm they are manufactured to standard.\n\t
  • Tracks, records, and maintains quality assurance data.\n\t
  • Follows product through the entirety of the manufacturing process to ensure each step is completed as intended.\n\t
  • Performs other duties as required.\n\t
  • Drive the maintenance of a safe and organized work environment, following all safety guidelines and procedures.\n\t
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to address welding-related issues and provide technical insights for continuous improvement.\n\t
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulations, promoting a culture of safety and quality.\n\t
  • Travel to Watertown, SD as needed. Total travel less than 10%\n

  • Firm technical knowledge of blueprints, diagrams, mechanical engineering schematics and electrical diagrams\n\t
  • Excellent communication skills that allow them to explain technical problems to laypeople.\n\t
  • Strong knowledge about their industry and the general requirements of different equipment types\n\t
  • Precise written communication abilities for filing repair, installation, and maintenance reports\n\t
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.\n\t
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.\n
