Quality Assurance Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements
- Proficiency in fundamental quality tools
- Experience in compiling, formatting, analyzing, and presenting data
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues promptly to maintain product integrity and on-time delivery
- Participate in virtual meetings and calls with key customers and suppliers to address and resolve quality concerns
- Lead cross-functional teams in applying quality tools to define problems, initiate containment actions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Work closely with Purchasing to qualify, monitor, and report on external provider quality and on-time delivery performance
- Issue and manage the timely response and closure of Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR)
- Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators, including product yield, on-time delivery, and defect categories
- Ensure all Quality Assurance monitoring and measuring devices are properly maintained and calibrated within established frequencies
- Support the creation of Quality Assurance documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Certificates of Conformance (CofC)
- Assist in product testing initiatives such as Coefficient of Thermal Expansion (CTE), Solder Dip, and Salt Atmosphere testing
- Participate in internal, external, and third-party audits and assessments
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Competencies/Qualifications :
- Must be able to travel local and internationally 10% of the time.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
- 3-5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to develop, maintain, and improve relationships with external providers
- Familiarity with SAP, M2M, or other ERP systems
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification is a plus
