Test Technician

Job Description

The Test Technicians will be responsible for setting up tests, installing sensors, calibrating instrumentation, and working on machines in a shop environment. The technicians will assist our test engineers in ensuring the reliability and durability of new concept machines, primarily skid steers and compact track loaders.

Responsibilities

  • Set up tests on machines, including installing strain gauges and routing wires.
  • Calibrate and install sensors and instrumentation on machines.
  • Follow engineering drawings and work orders to set up tests.
  • Assist in the setup of hydraulic and electrical components for testing.
  • Work closely with first shift engineers to ensure seamless continuation of tasks.
  • Utilize basic computer programs for data acquisition systems.
Essential Skills
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience with stress, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic software knowledge.
  • Ability to work on machine testing and validation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions.
  • Flexibility to work second shift and adapt to travel requirements if necessary.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with on-machine testing and validation.
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems and instrumentation calibration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
