PacSci EMC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Test Technician - Aerospace & Defense Systems to join our high-growth team. In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of testing and validating cutting-edge products that support national security and space exploration. You'll collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and safety. What You'll Do Design Verification & Acceptance Testing: Lead the verification and acceptance testing of advanced electronic and pyrotechnic products for aerospace and defense applications. Test Setup & Execution: Set up and operate a variety of test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, environmental chambers, etc.) to evaluate product performance, reliability, and safety. Procedure Compliance: Execute tests in strict accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs), and In-Process Test Procedures (ITPs). Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose, calibrate, and adjust test equipment, components, and systems to ensure optimal operation. Documentation: Maintain meticulous records and generate comprehensive test reports to support product certification and continuous improvement. Tool Utilization: Employ a range of hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring devices, to support testing activities. Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of new testing methodologies and participate in process improvement initiatives. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to resolve technical challenges and drive product excellence. Environmental & Stress Testing: Conduct rigorous environmental, stress, and durability tests to validate product integrity. Dimensional & Schematic Interpretation: Interpret complex dimensional and schematic drawings to ensure accurate test setups. What You Bring Experience: 5+ years as a Test Technician, ideally in aerospace, defense, or a related high-reliability industry. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using electronic test equipment (voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) and mechanical measuring tools (micrometers, calipers). Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and optimize test setups. Hands-On Expertise: Manual soldering of SMD components and practical troubleshooting skills. Software Skills: Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Mobility: Willing and able to travel to the Hollister, CA site up to 75% during the first 90 days (for training). Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a related field or military experience preferred. *This role is subject to ITAR regulations. Working Conditions Test lab environment with required PPE. Standing for 8-10 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate test results, observations, anomalies, and troubleshooting findings. Calibration Experience: Experience performing equipment setup, calibration verification, and test system maintenance activities. Pay Range The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 38,700.00 - 71,900.00 Is this role subject to ITAR?
