Summary and Purpose:

(Contract to Full Time Hire)

Be part of a team developing modules and assemblies for smart circuit protection systems used in next-gen data centers and industrial circuit breakers.

The Electrical Test Engineer will:

  • Focus on testing hardware, create test plans, develop testing processes and assemblies
  • Test data acquisition and data analysis to identify issues and provide feedback to design engineers.
  • Collaborate across electrical, firmware, and mechanical disciplines to deliver cutting-edge MEMS (Micro-Electro- Mechanical Systems) based circuit protection technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create test plans based on product specifications or target datasheets
  • Develop test fixtures, data acquisition systems and test automation
  • Test prototype modules or circuit assemblies
  • Process and analyze data and present key findings to the design team.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years of industry experience
  • Experience working in test lab environment and familiarity with standard circuit test equipment
  • Experience debugging PCBAs
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Prior experience testing or characterizing power semiconductor devices
  • Labview
  • LT spice
  • Use of CAD tools like Fusion360 or Solidworks

  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional technical teams
  • Flexibility to adapt in a changing environment
  • Apply innovative, out-of-the-box thinking to circuit assembly testing challenges
  • Work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail.

Travel Requirements:

  • Domestic travel up to 25% or as needed
  • International Travel 10% or as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Approximately 40% of the work is performed at a computer, with the remaining time spent in a test lab environment.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $90,000

Hazardous Exposure:

Soldering equipment, Mechanical tools, High-voltage
