Schedule: Monday-Friday | 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM)

Pay: $82.87 per hour

Employment Type: Full-Time Consultant (12 Months)

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a strategic and hands-on Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality operations at a high-performance aerospace facility. In this role, you will shape product integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion continuous improvement across all stages of production. Your leadership will directly impact safety, reliability, and operational excellence in a mission-critical environment.

What You'll Do

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will oversee the full scope of quality operations while leading a high-performing team:

Leadership & Team Development

Lead, coach, and develop the quality team to foster accountability and continuous improvement

Influence hiring, performance management, and employee development decisions

Drive collaboration across departments and lead through organizational change

Promote a safe, compliant, and high-performance workplace culture

Quality Management System & Compliance

Oversee and maintain AS9100-compliant Quality Management System (QMS)

Enhance quality documentation, including work instructions, plans, and inspection procedures

Serve as the primary liaison for audits, certifications, and regulatory agencies

Ensure successful execution and closure of audit findings and compliance actions

Product Quality & Performance

Lead initiatives to improve product quality and customer satisfaction

Ensure quality requirements are integrated into program estimates, proposals, and production processes

Monitor performance through metrics and implement recovery plans as needed

Own product quality, risk mitigation, and customer issue resolution processes

Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement

Drive root cause analysis using CORE, Lean, and continuous improvement methodologies

Lead implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Develop and execute plans to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)

Facilitate cross-functional improvement initiatives to enhance throughput and delivery

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience , or Advanced degree with 5+ years of experience

Proven experience in quality management within aerospace or manufacturing environments

Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing teams

Expertise in root cause analysis, quality systems, and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AS9100 Quality Management Systems

Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements

Proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T

Familiarity with NADCAP accreditation (brazing, heat treat, paint)

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies

Strong understanding of customer quality requirements (SOW, SCAR, Q-Notes, STAMP)

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and communicate with regulatory agencies

Experience leading work transfers and cross-site initiatives

Pay Details: $82.87 per hour
