SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Quality Control (QC) Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of the quality control compliance team, ensuring that products meet all required quality standards and specifications. The ideal candidate will manage testing to ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality requirements. The QC Supervisor will work closely with other quality and internal departments, external laboratories, and clients to improve processes, resolve issues, and ensure the highest quality standards are maintained across production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the QC compliance team to ensure effective performance and quality control.
  • Ensure that all finished products (and raw materials) meet quality specifications.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain quality control procedures, guidelines, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and federal regulations.
  • Manage the documentation and reporting of quality control data, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Lead and mentor the QC compliance team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Identify and investigate quality issues and work with the relevant departments to implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address quality control issues and improve processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality out of specification failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics to management.
  • Assist in the development and execution of quality control strategies for new products or processes.
  • Oversee the review and ensure compliance of batch records and all quality related documentation required for product release.
  • Oversee the quality control processes to ensure raw materials and finished products meet all the quality standards by tracking production, testing (result timelines), making sure the ERP system is updated with timelines for other departments awareness.
  • Advise on daily TATs and ETAs for raw materials and finished products testing requirements for release.
  • Direct and daily communication with third party labs regarding ETAs for testing results, testing issues
  • Review and ensure compliance of batch records and all quality related documentation required for product release.
  • Monitor and prepare reports of quality control metrics (KPIs) to identify areas of improvement when needed by management.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in quality control, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supervising a team.
  • High energy, autonomous for workload, attentive to deadlines, quick ability to pivot priorities, takes direction well, pleasant attitude and mannerisms.
