We are seeking a Nondestructive Inspection Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical, hands-on background, possess insight into quality inspection and control processes, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
This position offers an opportunity to work in a rare environment and contribute to ensuring the quality and safety of our inspections and products. Training and advancement within our company is provided and available. Our technicians split their time between working locally and in the field: worldwide travel is part of this job.
Responsibilities
Deploy proprietary ultrasonic inspection equipment developed by our engineers to perform non-destructive examination of piping systems at industrial locations such as oil refineries and offshore oil platforms.
Analyze collected data; organize results; generate data tables and final reports.
Provide friendly, meaningful customer service in noisy industrial environments.
Work with in-house staff, supporting hardware, product, and process development.
Qualifications
Previous experience in nondestructive testing or industrial refining is preferred but not required.
Problem-solving mindset with an aptitude for organization.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to interpret codes and standards related to nondestructive testing.
Practical experience with basic hand tools, electronics, hydraulics, etc.
Requirements
Must be able to pass standard drug test and federal background check.
Must be able to attain and retain US Passport and TWIC (Transit Worker Identification Credential)
This is, at times, a physically demanding job. Candidate must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, swim, etc.
Candidate must be able to pass a colorblind test (industry requirement for all UT inspectors)
