Job Summary

The QC Claims Analyst is responsible for performing independent quality control reviews of Conventional and GSE mortgage claims to ensure compliance with investor guidelines, internal procedures, and control requirements. This role plays a key part in risk mitigation, audit readiness, and the timely recovery of claim proceeds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily quality control reviews on Conventional and GSE claims, including modifications, nonliquidated claims, REO, short sales, deferments, servicing transfers, and mortgage insurance claims
  • Validate claim accuracy, documentation completeness, coding, and investor compliance
  • Execute required QC sampling rates based on claim type and risk level
  • Identify errors, trends, and control exceptions; document findings and corrective actions
  • Support control reviews related to aging receivables and unpaid claims
  • Maintain auditready documentation and evidence
  • Escalate unresolved issues in accordance with procedures
  • Partner with Claims Analysts, Supervisors, Business Analysts, and Risk/Audit teams as needed
  • Assist with procedure clarification and continuous process improvement efforts

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of experience in administrative support activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mortgage claims, quality control, or a related default servicing function
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Ability to interpret and apply investor and insurer guidelines
  • Comfortable working independently in a productiondriven environment
  • Proficient with Excel and internal reporting tools
  • Experience with FNMA and FHLMC claims
  • Prior QC, audit, or control review experience
  • Familiarity with MSP and LEAP forms
  • Experience working in a regulated or auditfocused environment

Location Expectations

This position is a hybrid role which has weekly onsite attendance requirements of 3+ days a week in our Owensboro, KY - Tamarack Rd Hub.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. Pay Range: $20.87 - $27.84
