Business Analyst /QA Analyst

Our client seeks a Business Analyst / Quality Assurance Analyst. This position functions as part of an Agile team with heavy understanding and usage of the Azure DevOps tool as part of the required skillset.

· Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

· Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

· Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.

· Create test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases based on requirements.

· Execute functional, integration, and regression testing; log and track defects.

· Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business partners.

· Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements and quality standards.

· Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

· Assist with system demonstrations, training materials, and production validation.

· Ensure documentation remains accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

· Gathering, documenting, and testing clear, unambiguous business requirements from the client.

· Understand the business requirements thoroughly in order to communicate business needs and system functionality to technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community.

· Serves as the ScrumMaster (heavy usage of Azure DevOps tool) on projects and coordinates with the PMO’s Project Manager for artifacts/documentation needed on State of Michigan projects.

· Working with the project team and stakeholders to examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems. This information is used to guide the gathering of business requirements and executing test cases as they relate to the desired system functionality.

· Clear and concise written and verbal communication

NOTE: Lansing, MI (Local candidates ONLY. Must be located within 1 hour of Lansing, MI at time of submission. Relocation is not allowed. Resource will be working a hybrid schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1, two days a week (required in-person days are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must work 8 hours per day in office on those two days, no exception.) The first month of work will require onsite presence 5 days per week for onboarding.)

Contract: 1+ years with possibility to convert to full-time within 1-2 years without visa sponsorship.

· 3 years’ experience Business Analyst (Must have both BA and QA experience)

· 3 years’ experience Quality Assurance Analyst (Must have both BA and QA experience)

· 3 years’ experience Azure DevOps Knowledge – or similar tool like JIRA (comfortable with creating epics/features/user stories for projects as well as moving cards through project lifecycle)

· 3 years’ experience Understanding of BA, QA, DEV roles/responsibilities

· 3 years’ experience with as-is/to-be processes and content creation

· 3 years’ experience with creating product roadmap

· 3 years’ experience Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies/Agile

· 3 years’ experience Adept with using BA/QA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio)
