Talentech - Quality Director Mowi Markets

We are now looking for a strategic and forward-looking Quality Director for Mowi Markets, who will play a key role in further developing and strengthening quality and food safety throughout our value chain.

The Role

As Quality Director for Mowi Markets, you will be responsible for setting direction, ensuring standardisation and driving continuous improvement in quality and food safety across our global markets. You will ensure that Mowi delivers products of the highest quality - every time, everywhere - and act as a vital link between the market organisation, production, R&D and corporate functions.

Reporting to the Managing Director in Mowi Markets the role combines strategic responsibility with hands-on operational follow-up. You will lead a highly competent quality team based in the Bergen office and work closely with both local and international leaders and teams across our global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement global quality strategies for Mowi Markets in line with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements
• Lead and further develop the global quality team within the Markets organisation
• Ensure compliance with relevant international standards (e.g. Global G.A.P, ASC, ISO) across all units
• Drive quality management, audits and continuous improvement processes across regions
• Collaborate closely with commercial teams to ensure alignment between product understanding, specifications and customer expectations
• Ensure effective handling of non-conformities and customer complaints, driving root cause analyses and continuous improvement
• Coordinate the Mowi Markets crisis team
• Report key quality and food safety KPIs to corporate management and ensure transparency across the global organisation

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with:

• A higher education degree in food science, biology, engineering or a related field
• At least 8-10 years of experience in quality management within the food industry, preferably seafood
• Documented experience with global quality standards and regulatory frameworks
• Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing teams, local and international
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation
• A strategic mindset combined with strong execution capabilities
• Fluency in English; additional languages are considered an advantage
