Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a QA Supervisor to join their team. As a QA Supervisor, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting food safety and quality initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: QA Supervisor

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Pay Range: $80,000 - $85,000

What's the Job?

  • Implement and oversee Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Maintain and monitor the food safety system, driving continuous improvements in product quality and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulatory requirements and serve as the primary contact for USDA inspectors.
  • Coordinate USDA sampling and testing activities, addressing non-compliance issues promptly.
  • Lead and facilitate internal audits, manage positive E. coli events, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure food safety standards are met.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelors degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field, or 5 years of experience in quality assurance and food safety leadership.
  • HACCP certification and experience with GFSI food safety standards (BRC preferred).
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations, food safety principles, and sanitation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and maintain confidentiality.
