Quality Assurance Oversight:
- Develop, implement, manage, and continuously improve the food safety and quality assurance programs (e.g., HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, Gluten-Free, Organic, Kosher, and Halal).
- Ensure compliance with local and federal safety regulations and standards.
- Responsible for overseeing environmental programs.
- Oversee food safety and quality management systems for sister facilities.
- Lead management team in BRCGS and Food Safety Plan programs.
Auditing & Inspections:
- Lead internal and external audits (customer, State, Federal, and regulatory).
- Prepare for third-party inspections and customer audits.
- Conduct regular facility inspections.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and train Quality staff.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Process & Product Monitoring:
- Monitor production processes to ensure products meet specifications.
- Oversee sampling, testing, and evaluation of raw materials and finished goods.
Documentation & Record-Keeping:
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of Quality procedures, testing protocols, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure accurate and complete record-keeping for traceability.
Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA):
- Lead investigations for product safety and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Manage CAPA process for food safety and quality management system deviations.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Manage supplier approval and monitoring process.
- Evaluate and approve suppliers based on food safety and quality standards.
- Manage incoming raw material inspections.
Customer Complaint Resolution:
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints.
- Implement corrective measures to improve customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends.
Regulatory & Certification Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to FDA and industry certifications.
- Stay current with evolving food safety laws and certification standards.
Storm Water Program:
- Manage storm water and spill prevention programs.
