The Quality Systems Technician is responsible for performing daily quality checks and maintaining the documentation required to support the company's food safety and quality programs. This role is essential in ensuring continuous compliance with the BRCGS Global Standard and preparation for all third-party audits. The Technician works closely with Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, and Warehouse teams to ensure product integrity and safety.

salary: $45,000 - $50,000 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 3 PM

Responsibilities

Audit Support and Documentation

  • Assist in the organization, filing, and maintenance of all supporting documents for Food Safety and Quality Systems as they pertain to BRCGS Standards.

  • Support the Quality Systems Supervisor in preparing and executing requirements for the annual BRCGS audit and other third-party audits.

  • File and maintain all quality and food safety records accurately.

Quality Monitoring and Assurance

  • Conduct routine reviews of production line output to ensure consistent product quality in terms of color, shape, size, taste, packaging, and other specifications.

  • Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Preventive Controls as directed.

  • Communicate any quality deviations or issues promptly to the Quality Systems Supervisor and Production staff.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

  • Work with Production, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Warehouse personnel to ensure that food safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) are consistently followed throughout the facility.

Sanitation Support

  • Assist the Sanitation Department with documentation and monitoring of cleaning activities.
