Description
Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or standards to inspect or test product throughout the manufacturing processes to determine if it is fit for conformance or customer requirements. This can include dimensional, attribute, performance, mechanical or chemical characteristics.
Records test data, applying statistical process control procedures where applicable.
Documents reports to validate or identify details for deviations from existing standards, where and when required.
Supports calibration of tools and gauges as required.
Operates various types of measurement equipment required to evaluate product conformance (i.e. various coordinate measuring machines, profilometer, hardness tester, optical comparators, various gages (calipers, micrometers, protractors, etc.)
Coordinates activities related to Material Review Board (MRB) or supports as directed. Supports containment and/or sorting activities as requested for external or internal sorts as directed by the quality department leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
