Job Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Pennington, NJ or Charlotte, NC.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly forming Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and establish its culture and approach from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be an inquisitive individual with a passion for driving reliability and enhancing the customer experience. This role requires the ability to code and a background in development or DevOps is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities:

Establish SRE functions and tasks from the ground up

Generate and maintain Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs)

Conduct blameless postmortems, manage error budgets, and facilitate role-playing scenarios

Influence and set the culture for a new SRE team

Drive service reliability and focus on the customer experience

Communicate effectively and confidently with business stakeholders

Requirements:

Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role

Strong understanding of SRE concepts, including SLIs and SLOs

Ability to code in any programming language

Personable with strong soft skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts with confidence

Experience with Agile methodologies

Knowledge of SQL

Background in development or DevOps is a plus

Pay range: $60 - $68 per hour
