NDT Quality Technician Salary: $62,400-$72,800/year Shift: Night Hours: 10:00pm-6:30am Monday-Friday A heavy machinery manufacturer is looking for a Quality Control Inspector interested in working with large weldments and machined parts (40,000 pounds +). This is a direct hire opportunity in Riverside, MO. NDT Quality Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Fabricate, machine, paint, and assemble products for the commercial marine, defense, and mining industries - Regularly interact with manufacturing, engineering, and other peers in the QC department NDT Quality Technician Requirements: - Interpersonal skills - A solid analytical approach to decision-making and problem-solving - At least 3 years of weld inspection experience - At least 3 years of experience using handheld measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges - At least 1 year of experience using laser trackers - Ability to read and interpret complex drawings - Thorough understanding of GD&T - Certifiable to a Level 2 in accordance with SNT-TC-1A in at least two of the following NDT methods: VT, PT, MT, UT - Possess a current CWI certification or meet the qualification requirements to be certified - Proficient using Microsoft Office products - Willingness to learn new things - Able to work well with little supervision - Ability to communicate criticism in a manner that avoids hard feelings, and ability to advocate quality improvements in a manner that will foster concurrence rather than resistance - Ability to be a leader in groups of peers from production to QC - Good attendance - Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work - Must be able to see details at close range - Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times - Must be able to traverse facilities and machinery by climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, and carrying materials - PPE is required at all times in the plant and yard Benefits: - Paid time off - Health insurance - Dental insurance - Vision insurance - Healthcare spending or reimbursement accounts such as HSAs or FSAs - Supplemental insurance - 401K with employer contribution - Tuition reimbursement - Relocation assistance is possible for a candidate with the right qualifications QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
