Quality Technician & Production Planner Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician & Production Planner to join our manufacturing team. This dual-purpose role involves working closely with the current managers to ensure automotive floor mats meet high-quality standards while coordinating production schedules. You will be a key presence on the factory floor, monitoring processes and ensuring product quality. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished automotive floor mats for quality compliance. Perform routine plant and factory walkthroughs to monitor quality and safety. Collaborate with the production team to communicate quality requirements clearly. Document quality findings and track defect rates to improve manufacturing processes. Conduct routine workstation audits to ensure machinery is properly calibrated, standard operating procedures (SOPs) are being followed, and control plans are maintained. Assist the plant supervisor in production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand. Create daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand forecasts, sales orders, and plant capacity. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or excesses and release manufacturing orders. Collaborate with procurement, warehousing, logistics, and sales to align material availability with customer delivery expectations. Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to troubleshoot quality-deficient products, support root cause analysis, and suggest process improvements. Train and guide production line operators on proper quality procedures and protocols. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product inconsistencies. Intermediate or expert proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
