General Position Description

The Quality Supervisor oversees and coordinates all QC test labs within Spring Grove Operations.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage Hourly Personnel: Safety, Hourly Work Schedules for all test labs, employee time keeping, employee accountability, Training.
  • Manage PaperLab Testing Equipment Reliability: Preventative maintenance and repairs, calibration, manage outside vendor service.
  • Manage QA Bench Equipment Reliability: Perform and document calibration work in ETQ, Preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Investigate Daily Dispositions: Assemble daily HOLD roster, Determine Daily Disposition for Each Roll ID, Assemble / Distribute a Daily Disposition Summary to the Organization, Present Daily Disposition Summary at Morning Production Meeting.
  • Manage QA Test Lab Supplies: Monitor raw material levels, Author replacement Purchase Orders.
  • Review Daily QA Samples and Data to Confirm Quality: Evaluate Daily Samples, Test Customer Supplied Complaint Samples
  • Perform QA on-call duties: After hours on-call to manage Hourly Personnel and Test Equipment functionality, Weekend Duty on a 5-week cycle.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have a working knowledge of fundamental math as it applies to the job. Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions, as well as the ability to communicate with other workers in the performance of the job.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Math Ability:

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
