Your impact
When it comes to environmental consulting, we're focused on cleaning up our communities today to improve tomorrow. We're seeking an Air Quality Consultant to oversee projects that support technical inputs and lead technical delivery for Jacobs projects. You'll serve as a technical specialist and lead for Air Permitting, Modeling, Monitoring, and Reporting.
Based out of our Holladay, Utah office, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with local and global experts to ensure Jacobs provides best practice solutions to our clients. You'll prepare and deliver high quality reports and presentation to clients' technical and senior leadership in accordance with Jacobs' quality process. You'll apply your technical experience to develop delivery strategies and develop client relationships while championing safety, quality, and the well-being of your team. And, you'll master and promote Jacobs' solutions and technologies to internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires travel to local client sites and working at client facilities in addition to some travel to client or team workshops, presentations, or to conduct site visits. The role will be predominantly office based, but periodic field assignments may be required.

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or other closely related technical degree
- Professional air quality project experience, including permitting, modeling, monitoring, and reporting (preferably in consulting)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous development and active engagement in professional networks, company communities of practice groups or similar
- Experience with direct client interaction
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with clients, contractors, and teammates
- Proven organizational, interpersonal, negotiation, leadership, and analytical skills
- Experience with small, medium, or large-scale client environmental consulting projects and representing clients to stakeholders including regulatory agencies
- Familiarity with state and federal air regulations and regulatory processes
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- US citizenship
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Master's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering, or other closely related technical degree
- Professional Engineer or Project Management Professional (PE or PMP) or ability to obtain and maintain
- EPA Visible Emissions Method 9 certification
- MSHA Mine Safety Training
- Experience on air quality projects for Federal and mining facilities, preferably as a consultant

The base salary range for this position is $69,500.00 to $105,500.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
