Key Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
- Oversee quality across machining, assembly, and inspection processes
- Monitor process capability (Cp, Cpk) and implement improvements
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns
- Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and corrective actions
- Manage supplier quality, including audits and corrective actions
- Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Reduce scrap, rework, and cost of poor quality (COPQ)
- Oversee inspection systems, calibration, and product validation
- Track and report key quality metrics (PPM, scrap, audits, supplier performance)
- Lead and develop quality team members and support cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
- 5–10+ years of quality experience in manufacturing
- 3+ years in a leadership or management role
- Strong experience in machining and/or assembly environments
- Working knowledge of:
- IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
- Core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Experience with CNC machining, metal components, and in-process inspection systems
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
